In this edition, she discusses her team's disciplined yet flexible underwriting philosophy, broad MPL appetite, and collaborative, problem solving approach to working with brokers. **Q: How do you balance underwriting discipline with flexibility?** ***A:** "We believe that strong underwriting discipline is what allows flexibility. When I truly understand the exposures present and the intent behind the coverage I'm offering, I can be thoughtful about where to work outside the box and where to hold firm. I’m comfortable working outside the box when it’s justified, but I’m just as comfortable saying no when something doesn’t make sense."* **Q: How would you describe what's it's like to work with you as an underwriter?** ***A:** "**I’m not just looking to get a quote out the door. I’m trying to solve the problem in front of us. **I also value open, honest conversations.
